BECOME THE NEXT GENERATION OF ETHICAL COACHES IN DIABETES CARE.

We see you. You’re the person who finally wants to create a bigger impact with type one diabetes that’s beyond influencer-ship and advocacy.

You want to be on the front lines.

But you’ve seen it time and time again..

Coaches working with people with diabates all over the internet selling one-size-fits-all-formulas and strategies that only work when you have the privilege of technology.

You know that your impact is different. You want to truly influence. You want to facilitate transformation that’s sustainable. You want to create change that’s more than surface level.

You want to influence and impact the diabetes

space without sacrificing your values.

You’re tired of seeing coaches provide low-level support for a high-ticket price tag.

You’re sick of seeing others go outside of their scope of practice and hurt their clients in the process.

You just want to provide trustworthy, reliable and impactful support - the type that actually fills the gap between self management and provider support.

And you know you don’t need the Dexcom or Omnipod sponsorship to do just that.

(If you’re nodding your head, you my friend are our type of people.)

YOU'RE HERE TO:

Be a pioneer in the diabetes space, without selling out as an influencer

Create a living supporting others, without suggesting your clients

“get creative” to pay you

Create an inclusive environment, because diabetes and privilege already exist in too many places

We know that coaching for people with diabetes

is integral - and the need is only growing...

1.5 MILLION

new cases of diabetes

were diagnosed in 2018.

50% OF ADULTS

reported an A1C of

7.0% or higher.

7.8 MILLION

hospital discharges in 2016 were reported included a diagnosis of diabetes.

OVER 8,000

endocrinologists practice in the US, leaving approximately one endocrinologist for every 5,000 people living with diabetes

Although coaches in diabetes care cannot replace an endocrinologist's care, we can add impactful and life-changing support in between appointments. So let me ask you this...

WHAT IF THERE WAS A WAY TO:

01

Direct the diabetes community to trustworthy, reliable coaching support (allowing them to filter out the noise of sneaky marketing and bring them directly to ethical coaching practices like yours).

02

Navigate this space with all of the resources you need to build an ethical, impactful and accessibility-centered coaching practice in the diabetes space.

03

Understand how to build a coaching business without overcharging, underdelivering, and feeling icky in the process while connecting with other coaches allowing you to refer, collaborate and build your own dream team.

Your coaching certification teaches you how to become a coach..

BUT NO ONE TOUCHES ON THE COMPLEXITIES OF WORKING IN THE DIABETES SPACE.

But I have good news.. We’re creating the next generation of ethical coaches in diabetes care, and you get to be part of it.

It’s not a surprise that diabetes coaching has been under the microscope lately...

Here are the top 5 ways I see diabetes coaches hurting their practices (and clients):

1.

They are only perpetuating the education gap by neglecting the need for accessibility options (and yes, this goes beyond pricing).

2.

They are providing solution-centered programs rather than client-driven experiences (your clients aren’t coming to you to create a dependent coaching relationship).

3.

They believe that living with

diabetes gives them a pass to coach others on their diabetes (your clients deserve more than anecdotal support.)

4.

They haven’t mastered ethical copy and marketing

(the number one way to turn off someone living with

a chronic condition).

5.

They aren’t creating an inclusive space (your clients deserve to know that you believe in health equity.)

We're here to help you navigate it all...

I'm your head coach,

LISSIE POYNER.

After founding Needles and Spoons Health and Wellness Coaching, I not only noticed the gap in diabetes care but soon realized the flaws in the coaching industry.

Scroll after scroll, I was seeing coaches in the diabetes space teaching outside of their scope and marketing empty-promises. I knew that I wanted to build a coaching practice that honored ethics and integrity, so my clients could have full confidence in their investment.

That’s why I built the ECDC, so other coaches could build an ethical coaching practice that will empower the community and actually fill the education gap that is so prevalent in our community.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: I'm a registered dietitian/CDCES/Nurse in the online diabetes space. Is this for me?

A: Yes! Ethical coaching is not just about scope of practice. Coaching is different in the sense that it is client-driven rather than prescriptive, like in a clinical setting. I fully recommend nutrition coaches, dietitians and CDCES's to master the practice of breakthrough questioning, sustainable behavior change and equipping clients with tangible action steps between sessions. Not only that, but learning ethical business practices will fully enhance your reach to your audience.

Q: What happens after I'm certified?

A: Anyone certified inside of the ECDC will be listed inside of the Next Generation of Coaches in Diabetes Care Directory that will be shared with the diabetes community as trusted coaching practices. This certification lets your audience know that your coaching practice actively prioritizes and practices ethics, accessibility and coaching in integrity.

Q: What if I can't attend the live calls?

A: All presentations and sessions will be recorded and uploaded into your member portal. Each week, you'll have the opportunity to attend office hours with Lissie to ask questions and implement session material. To earn the certification, knowledge and application will be shown through evaulations.

Q: What is the investment?

A: The total investment of the ECDC is $3500 with the following installment plans available:

  • 1 x $3500
  • 3 x $1,166.67
  • 6 x $583.33

Q: When do we start?

We kick off on June 13th! From there, we will be meeting weekly for 14 weeks.

Q: What if I don't have a pre-established practice or plan to create one right away?

That is 100% OKAY. Going through this process will allow you to lay all of the foundational work so you can hit the ground running once you're ready to dive in so you can start with complete clarity and zero learning curve.

Q: When are you running this again?

Honestly, we don't know! With so many incredible guest experts, there are a lot of moving parts and we cannot guarantee our next starting dates

Q: Is this program accredited anywhere?

Currently, we are accredited for continuing education credit from the National Board of Health & Wellness Coaching.
We are in the process of having the program reviewed by the ADCES for learning credit as well.
